Scope and Content:
A typed letter from Geraldine Finucane addressed to Gordon Brown before his confirmation as UK Prime Minister in June 2007. In it, Geraldine Finucane requests a meeting to discuss the circumstances around the murder of her husband, Pat, in 1989. She expresses concerns and distress over the continuing failure of the British Government to conduct a public inquiry into the killing, and the subsequent impact it has had on the Finucane family and "the maintenance of lasting peace" in Northern Ireland more generally.
